New recruit (Privet w/Cynthia)

During a mission, Quill and Kat had recruited a new member to Covenant, she seems to be a professional assassin so finding her a partner will be a bit of a challenge. They had arrived at the Covenant HQ where they were greeted by a woman in the non combatant women's uniform. "Sir you are needed in your office, we found some potential recruits one of them being... sir who is this woman in your back seat?" "Oh this is a new recruit i found on my mission, also you want some pizza, i got like 20 boxes worth in the trunk. Also please repair this for our new recruit." Quill then hands her a broken gun and left for his office with Kat right behind him with her pizza. The lady looks at the girl and say "So you are a new recruit well follow me and i can she you where you are going to stay while you work for us, and i will get this to the repair department A.S.A.P." She then walks off to the direction of a bunch of small homes.

After stopping at a local pizza joint to pick up some pizza, Cynthia accompanied Quill and Kat to a heavily guarded facility located in the former town of Black Water. From this, Cynthia made a guess that she was at the Headquarters of the Covenant. Cynthia then began thinking quietly for a bit before Quill stopped the car in front of the building.

"So, this is the headquarters of Covenant. From my meeting with Quill and Kat, I can tell that they are quite powerful due to their ranking. However, I have received no information about the organization as a whole from my intelligence network prior to arriving here." Cynthia thought quietly to herself as Quill got out and greeted by a young woman who was wearing a non-combatants uniform. Cynthia watched as she greeted Quill in a professional fashion. Cynthia overheard her mention something about a new recruit to Quill. Soon after, the woman saw her and asked Quill who she was. Quill soon answered her question before asking her if she wanted some pizza. After doing this, Cynthia watched as Quill left for his office with Kat in tow with a box of pizza in her arms.


This left Cynthia alone with the other woman. The other woman then instructed her to follow her so that she could show Cynthia where she was going to stay during her employment by the Covenant. The woman also added that they will stop by the Repair Department so that they could fix her weapons which have been damaged by Quill. Cynthia just nodded her head before following the woman as she led her to the Living Quarters.

Quill got to his office and saw about 13 potential recruits, most of them were male and seemed to look very cocky like they think they can ace recruitment process, once got into place one of them laugh and said "Who are are you some bulky pile of musical mass with not brains at all, HA i bet i will be running this place in to time. My father is friends with the king and..." Before the brat could say anything, he got slammed into the ground making a large dent into the ground. Quill then say,"Does it look like im that dumb and can't lead this covenant, the only reason why you were sent here was for me to see your skills but it seems you are to cocky for your own good, also disrespecting you commander is worst then being posted in a dark sector, now get out of my fort." With that two guards dragged the boy away and literally throw him out of the building. Quill then sat down in his chair, "Ok my name is Quill Scorchwood and i will be your evaluations person, now since we have even numbers i want you to pair up and fight one another. Win and you get to join the Covenant, but act like the brat we just threw out and you will end up like him, if i like your style of combat and you still loose i will let you in as well. Now pair up"

Among these 13 recruits was a 20-year-old by the name of Ignia Edna Flameheart. Like the other 12 recruits, she had been called in by the Covenant out of the blue. The messenger informed her that she was chosen to participate in a Combat Evaluation to determine if she was capable of joining the Covenant. Ignia instantly jumped on the offer as it sounded interesting and fun. It has been a while since she left the Silver Talons. Since then, she had been traveling around the kingdom helping out the people. To be honest, Ignia needed a little change of pace from her usual routine.

Ignia couldn't help but laugh at the young man who was dragged out for disrespecting the commander. After seeing the buy off, Ignia watched as the commander sat down before speaking. He introduced himself as Quill Scorchwood. Soon after, he then explained that he will be evaluating their combat skills. His instructions were simple: Pair up and fight against each other. A rather enthusiastic smile appeared on Ignia's face. Soon after, everyone began to pair up. After a few moment, Ignia found herself standing across from a young man who was armed with a Greataxe.

"Come on and fight me, Missie." The young man challenged in a very cocky voice as he got his axe ready. Ignia responded with a smile and a slight laugh as she ran her hand through her long hair. It was extremely distinctive as the back part of her hair was a crimson red color while the part you can see was a bright yellow orange color. The way Ignia's hair was wasn't only for looks. It was an indication of what her powers were.

"Alright. Are you ready to dance with my flames?" Ignia asked with an excited smile as a ball of fire materialized in her left hand. Soon after, she closed her left hand into a fist which caused a surge of fire to surround her before dissipating. Soon after, an extremely fiery aura began to emanate from her body. Also, the temperature of the room began to rise dramatically.

Once everyone started fighting a red head started to build up some sort of fire attack, this seemed entreating. Once everyone stop fighting Quill had saw that one of them fought dirty and was kicked out while the loser broke a snack machine and was thrown out to so that left 5 people, he had the 4 pair up in a scout unit and the 5th one which was that red head again was told to come with him. "Ok you will be paired up with a partner to go on small mission, nothing truly major you two will be Privates for now, rank up if you want to get better paying mission." He then introduce the to each other. "Cynthia this will be your partner, work together, rank up yad yad yad blu blu blu, stuff you don't really need to know and all that jazz. Anyway hear is the scheduler, follow it or starve, you only get snacks if and a private kitchen once you hit Sargent or you stay on my good side either way follow it and get your fill." He then went to his barrack to go to sleep until the next morning."

After about an hour, Cynthia had finally settled into the room. She was about to take a quick nap when Quill entered the Living Quarters. Accompanying him was another young woman. What struck Cynthia immediately was the woman's hair. The part she could was a bright yellow-orange color while the back part of the woman's hair was a crimson red color. Another distinctive feature was her clothing. It consisted of a black body suit which left her left leg entirely exposed and had a zipper in the center. Over this, Cynthia saw a white and gold jacket which had red accents and had a rather distinctive fire motif to it. Cynthia also saw some unusual red markings on the side of the woman's thigh and her lower arm near her wrist. From this, Cynthia guessed that the young woman had a fascination with fire or something.

Quill then introduced the woman as her new partner. Soon after, Quill then handed the two of them a schedule which they needed to follow or they wouldn't get rations. Quill also explained that they would gain access to a private kitchen once they reach the rank of Sergeant. After explaining everything, Quill left leaving Cynthia and her partner in the room.

"Looks like we will be working together, partner. My name is Ignia Edna Flameheart. However, you can just call me Ignia." Ignia greeted as she gave a friendly headlock to Cynthia. Cynthia was caught off guard by this. However, she didn't reach for her Exitus pistol since she could make out the friendly intentions of her partner.

"My name is Cynthia. It is nice to meet you, Ignia." Cynthia replied calmly as her partner finally let her go. Cynthia then began looking at her partner. She was about 5 ft 8 in tall and was quite strong. However, Cynthia was not sure about her partner's Semblance. However, this didn't matter to Cynthia as she was capable of working with almost anyone. As long as Ignia got her back, she will make sure to she got her back.

Once first light hit a very loud noise was heard though out the fort, then Quill's voice came on the intercoms,"GOOD MORNING EVERYONE, This is your boss speaking, it is time for you to wake up and do your work, all privates report to debriefing room A.S.A.P. with not breakfast. If you don't get here within 5 minutes you have cleaning duties for a month. Now for todays specials, today for our meals are these, Pancakes that are in theses flavors, Birthday cake, chocolate chip, berry, banana, pumpkin and milk butter, with a verity of fruits, bacon, and to drink we have milk, water, OJ, AJ, and chocolate milk. For lunch we have salad, 6 kinds of soups, meatball subs and fish patties. For dinner we are going to have Italian, so get ready for that. For todays bar special we have a atomic screwdriver in the tropics. Now here we have notifications for non combatant member, someone had burn all documents of project stabby, we need more copies for it, and finally if you see anyone that isn't part of the covenant lurking around the base and they are not accompanied by a non combatant or is out side the base kill on site or tell them to leave, your choice. That is all for today."

It was early in the morning when the intercom at the base blared as Quill gave his instructions. All privates were ordered to meet at the Briefing Room ASAP without breakfast. Soon after, Cynthia heard Quill tell the staff what was on the menu for that day. This didn't matter to Cynthia as she and her partner, Ignia quickly got changed before heading out of the small home they shared. Quill only gave them five minutes to reach the Briefing Room or they will have cleaning duty for a whole month. Cynthia was quite used to this kind of lifestyle since she had lived this kind of life for most of her life. Ignia, on the other head, was bubbling with excitement as they approached the HQ. Soon after, they entered and made their way down to the Briefing Room where Quill was waiting for them.

Ignia and Cynthia were the first ones there. As they entered, Cynthia gave a formal salute while Ignia greeted with an energetic "Hello, Sir". Cynthia and Ignia soon stood at attention as they waited for everyone else to arrive.

The other privates arrived with barely any time to spare, Quill was at the desk in front while Kat was dressed up in a teachers uniform with some glasses to go with it,"Ok you all made it, now it is time for your second in command to teacher a few things then you can go and eat, though i don't know why she is dressed like this cause i just told her to come teach you guys." "Because if im going to teach people in this setting i might as well look the parts also you better save me some food, you know how much i love pancake day." "Ya ya i know, i remembered the last time i didn't save you any, god we lost like 6 people that day. Uh, anyway it is going to take 10 minutes but there should be some food left, see ya on the flip side." "Ok maggots, listen up, im going to teach you whats what around here. We have 5 combat groups and 5 non combat groups, YOU guys are in the combat group, you can pick what group you want to be in but if you are paired up with a partner you are in special force division, this group send you out on missions that only me or my brother can give you. There are also field medic, supporter, heavy arms troops, and Black OP group. Then we have bounty missions for people looking to score some money to spend on stuff. Ok im done, you have 6 minutes left so ask away." One of the boys ask "How old are you." Then a dart flew by his head and Kat said "13, Any non stupid question?!"

"What type of missions does the Special Operation Division handle?" Cynthia asked calmly after a few moments of waiting. The set-up of the branches of the Covenant were almost identical to the military hierarchy of the Tarakian Military she had spent most of her life fighting for. In particular, Cynthia had spent most of her military career in Special Operations due to her semblance. Due to this, Cynthia was glad that she was part of the Special Operations group.

Cynthia couldn't wait to go back out in the field again. She couldn't wait to be out in the field again doing what she does best. She then looked at her partner who was sitting next to her. Ignia was also quite excited at the fact they would be receiving missions soon. After Quill had left them in their house, Ignia and Cynthia chatted for a bit. During this chat, Cynthia learned that Ignia was a former princess from another kingdom who was disowned after she decided to become a mercenary. In addition to this, Cynthia learned that Ignia was quite free-spirited. This was in utter contrast to her strict personality.

"Spec op does what the king tells them what to do or to kill targets that threaten the kingdoms peace or escorts targets of high value to the country. Should also say, spec ops also has to do 100% in what i and my brother tells them, even at a personal level." Quill came in a bonks her on the head "That last part is a lie she just wants you to punch your self repeatedly in the face cause she finds it funny, i do to but thats only if i trick you to doing it so don't worry, now them gets some food and do what ever." like that Quill and Kat leave the room and into their own quarters, then one of the privates said "You know i heard that the second in command isn't his real sister but someone he had found as a child and raised like a sister, and thinks of her as a daughter because she is the daughter of someone he had meet" then another one said "Thats a bullshit lie and you know it." "Ya you're right, im getting ahead of my self, come on lets gets some breakfast."

Cynthia smiled slightly at Kat's response. She was currently feeling a bit excited at the prospect of being out in the field once more. After finishing her explanation, Kat left with Quill to what Cynthia assumed to be their private quarters. After they had left, the other recruits began gossiping about Kat's relationship with her brother, Quill. Both she and her partner, Ignia, overheard that Kat wasn't related by blood to Quill. Cynthia was tempted to stand up and slap the other privates across the face for disrespecting their superior officer. However, her partner stopped her by headlocking her in a friendly fashion before smiling and speaking.

"Come on, Cynthia. Stop being a tight wad. That is just gossip." Ignia spoke in a rather informal and unprofessional fashion. Cynthia tried to wiggle out of Ignia headlock. However, this soon proved futile as Ignia was quite strong. Soon afterwards, the other recruits left to get breakfast. As she saw this, Ignia then let go of Cynthia before getting up and motioning for Cynthia to join. Cynthia responded by shaking her head before standing up and following her partner to the Gallery where breakfast was being served.
